Trail Stop 10:

Georgian Hills Vineyards

In 1998, the partners of Robert Ketchin, wine marketer and John Ardiel local apple grower, changed the landscape in the Beaver Valley. They research and tested the best potential vineyard sites and grape varieties suitable for the cool climate region of Georgian Bay. Their aim was to develop a viable and dynamic wine region and contribute to building a “Georgian Bay” local wine and food movement.

Our grapes come from the vines growing on the hills overlooking Georgian Bay. The region’s unique terroir of soils and climate influences our wine styles and flavours. Our cider is made from unique varieties of heritage apples grown in the Beaver Valley.

Recommendation:
Signature apple dessert wines and Cider.

Combine wine tasting with an adventure of cycling, paddling or snowshoeing in the winter.
