What better way to celebrate spring than with a seasonal cocktail?
Try this fun, festive, simple recipe from Country Living.
Prep Time: 10 Minutes
1 cup blackberries (try one of our trail stops for fresh berries)
1/2 cup maple syrup or honey
1/4 cup vodka
1 tablespoon edible lavender
Champagne or sparkling wine
Combine the blackberries, maple syrup/ honey, and vodka and bring to a boil in a saucepan
Boil for a 3-5 minutes, breaking down the berries with a spoon
Add the lavender and let boil one more minute, remove from heat
Place a spoonful into each glass - teaspoon to tablespoon depending on how sweet you like it
Top the glasses off with bubbly
Garnish with a spring o and top it off with the bubbly and a lavender sprig for garnish
